5/30&31/2015 – A busy weekend at BRCV
The weather has warmed, the ranges have dried out and training season is in full effect at the Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod & Gun Club.
On Saturday, 5/30, our Vice President, Michael Sak and a large group of instructors lead a full house of participants thru the NRA Basic Pistol course. This class had a number of outstanding new shooters who showed the type of safe firearms handling skills that the club seeks to cultivate. Congratulations to all the students, everyone who attended passed the course. Thank you to all the instructors who made this a fun and exciting day for everyone.
On Sunday, 5/31 Monroe County Wildlife Conservation Officer Bryan Mower and instructors Randy Strunk, Michael Omelczenko, Kenneth Shumski and Arthur Krueger led 10 students thru the Pennsylvania Hunter-Trapper Education course. In speaking with these instructors it is obvious that they are all very passionate about hunting and each shared terrific information that you just cannot obtain in an on-line course. All who attended the course received their PA Hunter Trapper Education Training Certificate with several students posting perfect scores on their qualification exams. The next Pennsylvania Hunter-Trapper Education course at BRCV is scheduled for 7/26/15 and is required for anyone who desires to hunt in the great state of Pennsylvania. Even if you aren’t sure if you are going to hunt, this is a great course that all BRCV members are encouraged to take.
