FIREARM SAFETY IS EVERY MEMBER’S RESPONSIBILITY
Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod and Gun Club is proud to be a member of the National Rifle Association and follow their Code of Conduct for Safe Firearm Handling:
- ALWAYS KEEP THE FIREARM POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION
- ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO SHOOT
- ALWAYS KEEP THE FIREARM UNLOADED UNTIL READY TO USE
- ALWAYS KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND

Membership: | Dues payable/memberships renewable at the September annual meeting. NRA basic certification in Pistol or Rifle or Shotgun or NRA Home Firearm Safety is a membership Requirement* Current NRA membership is a requirement* |

HOURS: | Shooting hours: Monday Through Saturday: 9:00 am until Sunset.
Sunday-1:00 pm until Sunset.
(*Post-Sunset shooting allowed:
Mondays–Pistol Clinic, Wednesdays–Bulls-Eye Shooting, Thursday–IDPA Practice and any announced/approved club events). *Anyone found shooting Post-Sunset outside of the allowable times listed above will have their club access shut off and will be summoned to BRCV’s Board of Governors*

RANGES: | BRCV has two shooting ranges:
The Lower Range (50, 100 & 150 yard) shooting range allows Rifle, Shotgun and Handgun, each having their own area and limitations. The Upper Range (50 yard) is exclusively dedicated to Handgun shooting with one exception; permitting the use of rim fire and carbine rifles. No shotgun shooting is allowed on the upper range. |

TARGETS: |

FIREARMS: | Rifles and Shotguns brought onto or taken from cub property MUST be Unloaded and Actions Open.
Handguns may be carried on BRCV Club property as long as the method of carry is in strict accordance with all Pennsylvania State Laws and Regulations. Not Permitted: Full-Automatic firearms and 50cal. BMG. |

AMMUNITION: | NO TRACER AMMUNITION NO ARMOR PIERCING AMMUNITION

SAFETY: | All shooters and spectators must adhere to the following safety precautions:
|

NON-MEMBERS: | BRCV welcomes non-members to club-sanctioned events and Tournaments, as listed on the BRCV club’s calendar.
Waivers will be provided and are necessary for all non-members.
Spectators must remain behind any designated firing line. Anyone under the age of 18, whether shooting or watching, must be under the SUPERVISION of a parent or responsible adult. |

GENERAL: |
Alcohol is not permitted on club property at any time. |
VIOLATION OF CLUB RULES OR REGULATIONS – Article H of BRCV’s By-laws States:
“If at any time charges of major violations of the rules or regulations of the club, or of any offense committed in detriment to the welfare of the club be brought against any member, the Board of Governors reserves the right to eject said member from the club by a majority vote of the members of the Board of Governors present; provided the accused member is notified by Registered Letter to be present at the meeting and be given the opportunity to defend his case.”
